IT infrastructure & sysadmin — Tampa Bay, FL

Three systems.
One business.
Zero downtime.

JLD‑LTS keeps your mail server, your Mac and Linux machines, and your AWS account talking to each other — so your team stops noticing the infrastructure and gets back to work.

Not sure if your emails are actually getting through?

Missing or misconfigured email authentication is one of the most common — and invisible — reasons messages land in spam or bounce entirely. Send any email to the address below and we'll personally check your domain's setup and follow up with what we find.

What we handle

Four problems that stop a small business cold

Mail server migration & repair

Moving off a dying on‑prem mail server, fixing broken SPF/DKIM/DMARC records, or untangling a spam blacklist — we set up Postfix, Dovecot, or a hosted alternative that your staff can actually rely on.

Mac & Linux system administration

Patching, backups, user accounts, printer queues, permissions that made sense in 2019 and don't anymore. We manage mixed Mac and Linux fleets as one system, not two.

AWS architecture & cost control

Right‑sized EC2 and S3 setups, VPC and security group cleanup, and a monthly bill you can explain to your accountant instead of just paying.

Ongoing monitoring & support

Uptime checks, log review, and a phone number that a real person answers when something breaks at 6am — not a ticket queue.

How we work

We document everything, so you're never locked in

Every migration, config change, and credential handoff gets written down in plain language and handed to you — not buried in one consultant's head. If we get hit by a bus, your business keeps running.

  • Fixed-scope quotes before any work starts — no open-ended hourly surprises.
  • Change logs for every server touch, in a shared doc you own.
  • Direct line to the person doing the work, not a support tier.

Common questions

What people usually ask before calling

How much does IT support cost for a small business?

Most engagements are quoted as a fixed scope before any work starts, not open-ended hourly billing. A one-time mail server migration is priced differently than ongoing monthly monitoring. The first call to scope the problem is free.

Do you support businesses that are fully remote or don't have an office?

Yes. JLD-LTS supports remote and distributed teams nationwide, not just businesses in Tampa Bay. Mac and Linux administration, AWS architecture work, and mail server migrations can all be done remotely.

Why does my AWS bill keep going up even though our usage hasn't changed?

Usually it's oversized EC2 instances, unused EBS volumes or snapshots, S3 storage class misconfiguration, or untracked data transfer costs. A cost audit typically finds several of these at once, and right-sizing often cuts the bill significantly without changing what the infrastructure actually does.

My mail server keeps getting flagged as spam — can that be fixed?

In most cases, yes. It's usually missing or misconfigured SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records, a shared IP with a bad sending reputation, or an open relay. Fixing the DNS and sending configuration resolves it most of the time; if the IP reputation itself is beyond repair, migrating to a hosted alternative is usually faster than trying to rehabilitate it.

What happens if my IT consultant becomes unavailable?

Every migration, config change, and credential handoff gets documented in a shared doc the client owns — not kept only in one consultant's head. That means the business isn't locked in or left stranded if the consultant is unreachable.

How can I check if my business emails are actually being delivered?

Send any email to email@checkauth.jldlts.com. We'll personally review your domain's SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication records — the most common cause of messages landing in spam or not arriving at all — and follow up directly with what's found. It's free and there's no obligation.
